Microneedling Process

A Microneedling appointment lasts 1.5 hours.

Consultation and Treatment Plan:

Important: Please view our Microneedling Pre-Appointment Checklist prior to your appointment.

We will start with a consultation. We will discuss what you are trying to achieve. If you have specific problem areas that you want to target we will talk about expectations and a recommended number of sessions. A custom treatment plan will be created for you including strength of treatments, target areas, number of treatments, and timeline for healing in between each session.

Numbing:

After the area is throughly cleansed a numbing cream is applied. The active ingredient is Lidocaine. During this time I will talk to you about the healing stages and aftercare. Next a buffer, similar to a microdermabrasion, is taken over the entire area followed by another numbing agent.

Procedure:

You will be laying reclined during this part of the process. Any problem areas will be treated first with a single needle. We use the only machine available to specifically treat targeted areas. Then a needle head with a cluster of 12 needles will be taken over the entire area. There will be some pinpoint bleeding and swelling. (Picture vampire facial.) After the entire area is treated we finish the session with a cooling mask. The area is cleansed and serums are applied. You will also be sent home with serums to use at home following the procedure.

This is the end of your first appointment. You will then go home and heal for a minimum of 4 weeks before your next treatment.

Annual Maintenance:

After your treatment plan is completed, whether that’s 1 session or 6 (depending what we are treating) annual maintenance is recommended for continuous collagen production during the aging process.
